Renault Megane 2 Brake Lights not working

I have a Renault Megane II 1.6 16v Sedan 2005.. I noticed lately that the brake lights on the car aren't working (both sides)

The first thing I did is to try replacing the bulbs, but that made no difference..

What could cause such problem?
