Hi
My first post so here goes !
We own a Grand Scenic 2005 auto and when the wife was driving it the other day she said there was a "bang" and it suddenly flashed a gearbox warning message on the dash. She managed to get it home driving very slowly. Reading various posts on here it looks like there might be a known problem and that possibly Renault UK might contribute to the cost of repairs (bearing in mind that the car mileage is only 60,000). My question is this: do I need to first get it checked before I contact Renault and if so do I need to go to Renault for the check or am I ok going to my local independent garage ?
Thanks.
