Amélioration de nos règles de confidentialité

Google
Updating Our Privacy Policy

OneSignal GDPR Product & Policy Updates

Dear OneSignal Client,

OneSignal is committed to helping our clients be GDPR compliant when using our Web Push, Mobile Push, and E-mail products. Our business and legal team are working hand-in-hand with many of our existing clients to ensure compliance with EU law. Whether you are in the EU or not, we’d like to help make it easier for all of our partners to comply with GDPR.

While these specific suggestions and changes we’re making will help you comply with GDPR, we also recommend that your consult with your legal counsel for compliance recommendations specific to your company.

Some of the major changes we’re making include updating our legal terms and our push and email products to limit our access to and what data is stored from EU users. We’ve been working closely with our legal team to update our EULA and make these product updates before the May 25th deadline.

These product changes include:

1. Providing the option to not store end-user IP addresses, and by default, not storing the IP addresses of end-users from countries within the EU.

2. For all clients, beginning on May 21st, 2018, we will discontinue building data models with data nor will we monetize any EU user data with our business and analytics partners. For our Enterprise clients, we have introduced a Data Processor Agreement (DPA) which formally designates us as a Processor for all data.

3. Releasing updated versions of our SDKs to make it easier for our clients to prevent user data from being sent to OneSignal until a user explicitly consents.

4. Adding support to our API for the deletion of user data. Additionally, we are reducing our data retention period of deleted data to 72 hours.

5. Updating our user data exporting capabilities to make it easier to search for and export user data from OneSignal. This will help our clients meet individual user requests for restriction, erasure, and data portability.

6. Preparing a guide on how to use OneSignal for push notifications without sending us personal user data.
In addition to the product changes, we’ve taken steps internally to ensure that all data sent to OneSignal is stored securely. These steps include auditing the software we use for security vulnerabilities, ensuring we’re using up-to-date versions, improving network security in out datacenter, and ensuring we maintain and follow security best practices internally to ensure that we prevent unauthorized access to our servers.

For clients who use OneSignal in their apps or websites and who have EU users or are based in the EU, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid legal basis (e.g., consent, legitimate interest) for the personal data that is being sent to OneSignal. We recommend working with your legal counsel for guidance on your specific responsibilities. We are happy to work alongside you and your legal team to ensure compliance while using our services.

If you have any questions or concerns about this topic, our team is happy to answer any questions you have. Please send your inquiries to support+gdpr@onesignal.com.

It’s time to upgrade GCM to Firebase Cloud Messaging

Firebase
Hi يبرلايب,
In 2016, we launched Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), the successor to Google Cloud Messaging (GCM). As the next evolution of GCM, Firebase Cloud Messaging allows you to send notifications and data messages reliably to iOS, Android, and the Web at no cost. In addition, FCM provides you with new features like the easy-to-use notifications interface in the Firebase console, so you can easily target and test notifications to re-engage your users.
In order to devote more time and attention to improving FCM, today we're announcing that you must upgrade to FCM in the next year. The GCM server and client APIs are deprecated and will be removed as soon as April 11, 2019. We recommend you upgrade sooner rather than later so you can start taking advantage of the new features in FCM today.
If you have projects that are still using the GCM APIs, you will need to update your client and server code to use FCM before April 11, 2019. Your existing GCM tokens will continue to work with FCM so you won't lose the ability to send to your existing users.
What do I need to do?
You'll find a complete walkthrough of the FCM upgrade process here. You can also check out this video, which walks through the migration process.
If you have questions that aren't answered in the deprecation documentation, take a look at the Cloud Messaging FAQs on our support page or reach out to us through one of our other support channels.
We look forward to welcoming you to FCM!
Thanks,
Firebase Team

Announcing OneSignal Email Messaging

Announcing OneSignal Email Messaging

Since first launching OneSignal, many of you have asked us if we could make sending marketing emails as easy as we’ve made it to send push notifications. We looked at what was out there and noticed much of the same factors we did when we started as a push notification platform - existing solutions are complex, hard to integrate, and expensive.

Today, we’re excited to announce that OneSignal supports email delivery alongside browser and mobile app push notifications. As always, our solution is free and unlimited.*

With this launch, if you already use OneSignal for push notifications you can now synchronize user emails from your Website or App and begin delivering emails using the same dashboard, API, and SDK you've been using for notifications.

Craft great-looking emails
Our drag-and-drop composer gives you everything you need to create high quality emails. You'll be able to quickly create personalized email templates that match your company branding, and collaborate with your marketing team on email templates without having to touch your codebase. Best of all, your emails will look great no matter what email client they're viewed on - even mobile.
Deliver with confidence, at a fraction of the price
In email, reliable delivery is paramount, which is why we've integrated with existing transactional email providers like Sendgrid and Mailgun. This makes it both easy and affordable for you to deliver marketing emails using the same reliable channels you may already be using to send sign up confirmations and password resets.
Push + Email = Better customer communications

While push notifications are now the platform of choice for short, time-sensitive messages, email continues to be a ubiquitous platform used by both businesses and end users. Together, these complementary channels can help you build even closer relationships with your users.

* OneSignal is free to use as a marketing email platform, however email service providers may have their own fees (typically a hundredth the price of traditional email marketing platforms)

Announcing OneSignal Email Messaging Beta

Over the past three years, OneSignal has grown to become the leading push notification delivery service, used by hundreds of thousands of mobile applications and websites.

One of the reasons we started OneSignal was because we saw that so many publishers either weren't using push notifications or weren't using them well. As we look towards what's next, we've realized that, like notifications, many websites and mobile applications have been missing an opportunity to use email more effectively.

That's why we're incredibly excited to announce OneSignal Email Messaging, our forthcoming email product now in beta.

EMAIL IN ONESIGNAL

With OneSignal Email Messaging, you will be able to use the familiar OneSignal SDK for both push and email. Like push, you'll be able to craft emails in an easy-to-use interface, use our powerful segmentation and delivery tools, and be assured they look great on whatever platform they're sent to.

Best of all, OneSignal Email Messaging is available for free with the same model as our push notification service. You will only need to pay for a third-party transactional email service providers like SendGrid, Mandrill, or Mailgun, which we leverage to deliver your emails. Essentially, you get to send marketing emails at a fraction of the price of other email marketing products.

GET STARTED WITH THE BETA

We've just begun rolling out OneSignal Email Messaging in a closed beta. To become eligible for the beta, you will need to update to the latest OneSignal SDK and add a bit of code to sync your emails with OneSignal. To learn more, follow our Email Quickstart guide.
