Hello Experts,
I can't find the locking wheel nut remover for my Kangoo 1.6 Expression (2004). I'm off on my big trip soon and daren't leave home without it,

F9Q in Suzuki Grand Vitara (EGR removal)

Not directly related to Renault but more to the F9Q 1.9 DDis Diesel. Supplied to various other car manufactureres.
Mine is in a Suzuki Grand Vitara in Australia and has many of the same issues for driving style EGR DPF then Turbo.

So for those who are looking from a different perspective how to get to the EGR attached is the process I followed access. But I was unable to get t the plug and will have to make up my mind on if I cut the cable and resolder.

Trafic LH29 2012 back doors problem

I have had a recurring problem with the barn doors at the rear of my Trafic. They would appear to be shut correctly but when locked with the fob it became obvious that they were not properly closed.
I found that if the door with the handle (Left hand one at rear) was pressed shut with both hands, one on the handle and the other further up, the door would engage correctly and would then lock with the fob. I know it is properly closed and locked when the handle swings freely.

Yesterday I tried to shut the door single handed and pushed at the upper position. The top catch engaged but the middle and bottom did not so the door is visibly not completely shut.
Applying pressure at the handle or the bottom of the door does nothing, it refuses to go in any further.

Attempting to open the door does not work either.
The door "thinks" it is shut as all catches appear to have snapped into the closed position so that if the fob is used the central locking does what one would expect and the handle moves freely. Press the fob again and the central locking tries to unlock but the handle resists a pull. It seems that the top catch is prevented from releasing by the tension in the door. I feel that if I pull the handle any harder it may break

I have access into the van via the SLD and could disassemble part of the rear door locking mechanism but do not know the best approach.

If I removed the 3 torx screws holding the top lock keep plate might it release the tension and let the door open?
How would you tackle this problem? I would be grateful for any advice

Megane 2 sports tourer tailgate recall

I just happened to be looking on the MOT web site and it mentioned a recall for the high level spoiler, due to the posibilityof it becoming detatched.
Has anyone been for the recall? My Megane estate is now 12 years old, and the high level spoiler is now held on by screws. It is not 100% as it should be, is there any point in booking it in for the recall?

Puff noise on acceleration

Hi Everyone
Whilst finishing doing an oil change I had the bonnet up and the engine running.
Blipped the accelerator and heard a brief noise like air escaping from a hose.
It only happens when you first press the acceleration
Got the wife to blip the accelerator whilst I looked and felt for anything amiss but couldn***8217;t find any leaks.
It could be air entering the inlet manifold but I***8217;m unsure?

Anyone have an idea if this is a fault or normal?

Clio Mk2 Starting Issues

Hi all,
I'm struggling with my car and hoping someone can help.
I have a 2002 Renault clio authentique, 1.2 litre.

Over the last week or so my car has been struggling to start and sometimes when driving it'll just cut out. Usually when stopped idling. Other times at low speeds in first gear.

The issues were getting worse and worse until today when my car refused to start. Wouldn't crank at all.

I had a friend bump start it and it seemed fine until I turned it back off where it refused to start again.

I've recently changed the starter motor and the batter so I doubt they are the issue.
I haven't seen any fault codes using a Bluetooth obd reader but that could be wrong.

Any help would be appreciated

1989 Renault 5 Campus Heater Blower Intermittent

Real quick question, now the 5 is running I've turned my attention to other bits & ive noticed the Heater blower seems to work now and again. I've pulled the actual fan out and checked that and it spins up perfect, I've tried another known working heater control panel and still the same.

When it stopped working the other day I gave the dash a bang and to my suprise they started working again so I'm guessing it's a loose connection somewhere? Are there any known weak points which I could check? I've got another heater box ready to go in but I really don't have the time to pull the full dash out unless I really have too and if it's a dodgy connector somewhere it'll probably not solve it anyway.

Hi, I recently drained gearbox oil on a Megane 3 and can***8217;t find a fill point any help would be appreciated.

Clicking wheel

My car has just been for an interim service and mot now I have it back I've noticed a clicking noise coming from my front driver side wheel it only does it when driving forward no noise when I reverse, nothing in the tyre as I had a new one put on today, is this something that could have happened during the service/mot ?

Hi we have a Renault grand espace v6 3 Ltr diesel. Been great since owning it. Recently a small amount of black smoke could be sceen on heavy acceleration not a lot but noticeable. In my wisdom I thought a fuel injector cleaner might clean and maybe help..... 30 miles on route to a camping holiday the carry started massively struggling and vibrating as if an injector was down. We nurses the vehicle another 100 miles and filled the tank thinking if my chance it was anything to do with the additive / cleaner..... no problem now exists and struggles to get over 30mph. Changed air and fuel filter and car ran perfect for 5 miles and now the shaking is back?!? Any ideas would be gratefully received.
No injector faults found on plug in however an intake air flow thing had a fault... faults cleared and told to try it and fault still exists

My daughter has just bought a 2002 Scenic 1.6 fidji.
She is having trouble finding 5th gear but particularly 6th. What is the correct procedure? Do you need to use the gearstick collar to change into these gears.

Removal of air con pressure switch

Hi I have a 2006 Megane 1.4, wanted to know how to remove the air con pressure switch located next to the Condenser.
I have been able to get a good look at it, though could not really see, how it is secured in place (to air con pipe form condenser)
and was afraid to try removing it with out knowing how it is actually attached.
does anybody know how it is attached?

Renault scenic ii window fault

Hi I'm new here and not very technically minded. I have a 2005 renault grand scenic 1.6 and I've just hd the clutch replaced after the slave cylinder had popped. Since then the passenger side window has been going crazy! Going up and down by itself and dropping down slightly when double locking. The rear windows having worked for a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Renault master dash and heaters not working

Hi all. Was wiring up a couple LEDs in the back as lightin is very poor but forgot to pull the fuse when doing so and think I may have fused the dash as showing stop light braking failure message and speedo and heaters now not working, is this just a case off a couple blown fuses or have I seriously messed up something. 1999 renault master 2.5 d doesnt start

hello, i have bought a used 1999 renault master 2.5 d with 350000km, what is wrong with the engine, it starts ok but sometimes it doesnt want to cranck the engine, the starter is not working sometimes. When i turn on the key it just does klick and nothing else, then when i leave the car standing for one or two days it will start again but if i ride it again and if i start it more then three times in one day the same problem will occur, battery is ok. thanks for info

Lost Keys

They weren't in my pockets. Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically, I headed for the parking lot. My husband has scolded me many times for leaving my keys in the car's ignition.
He's afraid that the car could be stolen. As I looked around the parking lot, I realized he was right. The parking lot was empty. I immediately called the police. I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen.
Then I made the most difficult call of all to my husband:
"I left my keys in the car and it's been stolen." There was a moment of silence. I thought the call had been disconnected, but then I heard his voice.
"Are you kidding me?" he barked, "I dropped you off!"
Now it was my turn to be silent. Embarrassed, I said, "Well, come and get me."
He retorted, "I will, as soon as I convince this cop that I didn't steal your damn car!"

Renault master radio or sat nav not working

Just bought a master and noticed the radio does not work , it has power as it takes a CD and ejects it but does not play or react to any other button also the sat nav comes up with the start up screen and then just displays the time? I'm yet to disconnect the battery as I don't have the radio code. Thanks Arran

Laguna Fuel Cover Spring Clips

Hi, wondering if someone can help me. I am trying to source 2 plastic clips/dampers that hold the fuel cover open or closed. The car is a Laguna 2, 2002. The clips are not showing as a separate item in the Renault Parts list, but I thought maybe someone has had this problem before, and found where these items can be bought.
I have included a picture of the item.

No central locking

Hi I have no central locking or immobilizer light no start on Renault traffic 2litre 07 checked fuses nothing. I pulled a ,60amp fuse in a 1.9 and it causes same problem

Megane MK3 A/C fan issues

Hi,

i have a issue with my 2010 Megane mk3 coupe.

The air con works great when you start the car for around 10-15 minutes, cools the car ok at best then it looses strenght through the vents and car becomes so hot you have to open the windows.

we turned the A/c off for around 10 minutes, when we turned it back on we had cool air at a decent strenght but only for 5 minutes.

Its the standard set up not climate control.

The fan works on every number as it should, its like something shuts the air off, its still blowing at what i think is the same speed but is not hitting any vents at all and not cooling the car.

Yesterday we did a hour and half trip and on the way there it was windows down on motorway, way back was colder than ever before and had a mist coming through centre vents?

So far i have had the A/c leak tested, new valve as it was leaking re gassed and fitted a new temp sensor (euro car parts) as the fans was running most of the time, i have also changed the pollen filter that i believe was the original as it was very black, after doing this i see why it has not been changed.

Please help as its driving me mad :grin2:

Electric drivers window just won't work!! Clio mk2

Hi all. I have a 2003 Renault Clio MK2. About 3 weeks ago the window stopped working, after a few hrs/days left alone it started working again. About 2 weeks ago, it packed up completely. This is what I have done so far -
* Changed window switch on driver's door
* Changed window regulator and motor
* Looked at all the plug connectors and wiring

The passengers work perfectly even from the drivers switch. Tried both regulator and motors on my passengers door just to double check and they work fine. I used a electric screw driver on driver's door window switch connection to see where my lives are. It comes back with 2 lives but only under the passengers window switch. Non for the drivers switch. Not sure if this normal.

My Haynes manual is absolutely useless as it tells me there is different color wires compared to what I have.

I don't really want to spend hundreds going to a mechanic or to buy a new uch of I can help it.

I have an idea, I thought maybe jumping of power from the passengers wiring on the drivers side switch to the drivers side or maybe. Does that make sense?

If anyone has any other ideas then please, please let me know as I need help!!!!

Anti pollution system

Hi I have a 2013 Renoult Megane estate 1.5 dci done over 100k was working all fine when yesterday driving on motorway Engine failure hazard light came up along with Engine management light and spanner light no loss of power no problem in driving other then slight noise from engine when I press on eccelator and once the Check Anti pollution light came up can anyone help please

Scenic problems

Hi I have a 2014 scenic, the solenoid recently went on the diesel door so would not unlock . A local garage disconnected it so that I can fuel up until they get the part in. Since then the seatbelt warning light randomly pings on when I am driving (seatbelt is on and clicked in fully) and just after he had done this the dashboard shut down twice randomly (but has not done it since). I am a bit worried that the electrics have a bit of a problem just asking for a bit of advice.

Espace IV key card

So my friend drowned a key card in a lake, and he got new ones from Renault, but now that I'm trying to program them, I cant seem to find a way to do it.

When simply trying to connect Clip, UCH is shown as 'not recognized' and the rest is 'not detected'. So I tried to somehow turn the ignition on, found a relay, jumped it, ignition was on but UCH was still not recognized, then I thought about it and I just simply bypassed the UCH, so that wouldnt have worked.

Is there a simple way that I'm blind to?

Megane 3 whistling noise on accelaration

Is anyone able to answer this. There is a whistling noise from the engine only when i accelerate. if the engine is idle or cruising at a set speed there is no noise. The car runs fine, no juddering or loss of power. It almost seems like a pipe has a hole in it or has become loose. It's a Renault Megane 3 1.5Diesel sports hatch '63 plate so it is no longer under warranty.

Modus dashboard removal

Hi folks,

My Modus air-con system has a leak, but despite doing everything it can with pressure testing and dyes, my garage can't find the source of the leak in the engine bay. They say it's probably in the cabin, which makes sense because you could smell the oil when the air-con was running. The garage don't want to remove the dashboard and suggested I go to the Renault garage, which I don't want to do.

Just wondering how easy it would be to take the dashboard out myself and see if I can see where the leak is.

Any suggestions?

2001 Cabriolet ICV

I just bought another Megane Cabriolet and it has a small fault. When starting from cold it takes a good few turns before firing and idles erratically for the first minute or so, once warmed up/not necessarily hot it will restart and idle without problem. I suspect the ICV Idle control valve, I have a spare but is there any special way of installing it. Could it also be a petrol pump problem in as much that the system loses pressure when stopped for any length of time, there are no obvious leaks. Car has only done 69K from new with two owners so is otherwise in very good condition.

63 Plate Renault Clio dci Dynamique Medianav

New to the forum. Would just like to ask 2 questions to see if they're feasible.

Firstly the sat nav map I have is very outdated. I don't really want to spend £51 odd for a map update directly from renault so is there an alternative sat nav that can be installed onto the LG Medianav software?

Secondly the radio currently only has FM & AM radio, is there a way of upgrading to DAB radio, if so how do I go about doing it?

Picked up this white one after i recoverd from killing the last one. It has been well looked after, Has already been played with a bit, has intercooler, turbo cooler, ITG induction kit, exhaust system and 200 cell cat, RSTuning remap to 300+bhp









Changed the interior bulbs, for White LED style







Have done a bit of refurb work on the headlight






Sprayed the front blade with plastikote







Got my Tibors resprayed and fitted




And more resecently i have had H&R springs fitted, and swapped the rear spoiler over to a 265/275 version







And sprayed the exhaust surround black

Supertooth buddy Bluetooth causing electrical problems?

Yesterday I purchased a Supertooth buddy hands-free and noticed that I was experiencing electrical problems with my clio dynamique. I have had the car for over 3 months and never had a problem. When I turned the ignition it seemed like their was an interference with the imobilising system. Then it would sound like the battery was for. This morning when I started the vehicle the main lights would not shut off. It had always been set to "auto lights deactivated". The buddy device works via bluetooth and not wored so i am confused why this would cause so much problems .I am curious to know your thoughts.please help

Windscreen Washer Not Working!

Bloody car is doing my head in now it’s problem after problem :frown2:m my windscreen washers have stopped working when i go to use them nothing happens and I’ve noticed it’s not making a noise either,is there a fuse for this as I’ve looked in the glove box and it’s not in there.

Aux Mode Radio Laguna 2

Hi guys. I have a Laguna Privilege from 2004. I have searched on all Youtube videos to enable the Aux mode by pressing the (Music) logo and then use the Vol+ to change the Aux mode ON/Off.
Now funny thing is that in my radio in order to access that menu I need to press the SRC (Source) button and then I will see the extended menu to change the settings. But there is no AUX function to Enable or Disable

Hello and nice to be on this forum i have to say :grin2: so i am from Croatia and buy a "new" car and have some problems :D
So this is my first disel engine and i have some problems with disel engines aperently :) the car have 200,000+km and everything runs fine except i get service light
with error check injectors ofc i have OBD2 diagnostic from delphi (autocom) and connect it the error is df641 inlet air flap circuit failure

sometimes i got this error on ignition or in driving than is goes away and its driving me nuts.

i get in garage and i take off the throttle body (which i think is air inlet flap) and give it a good clean i open the PCB board side and clean resistor who reads the position of the valve. put it back and its heppend the same thing.

So did anyone have similar error or maybe solution. My guess is i look in wrong place becouse i really didnt drive diesels engines and repair them (yeah blame me) so probably i am looking for something else but i dont know how to recognize it.



Also i have automatic air condition and it works well when driving but when i am standing still it dont cool anything. and its 39 degrese out here so litle help with that too.
on my brother megane grandtour 2007 his front ventilator works when standing still my dont. so maybe some fuse or relay ?

Hi, I've just bought a 66 plate Clio and the rear drums are rusting a fair bit and ruining the look of the car. I want to paint the brake drums. Some people on the internet have just used Hammerite paint? Is that advisable? Should I go with semi professional DIY brake caliper paint? Thoughts welcome...***128077;

Mk3 Megane OEM Stereo & LCD Upgrade

Car: 2011 Megane Expression

The car currently has the 281150020R stereo with the basic LCD display 280349044R with the time and adjustment buttons on the right.

I have bought a new stereo 281159389R which does not work with the old display.

Is my old display incompatible?? Do I need to buy LCD 280340616R to make it work ?

Water in fuse board Clio mk3 2005 **Fixed**

Hi guys,
I had some issues starting the car ( it would not start ) , so I had all lights on dash and the car would turn quarter turn. Eventually removed the fuse board and all looked clean and dry but one fuse has a tiny bit of green on it and I mean small so I removed the lower case to the board and yes water corrosion and sweating ti the lower lhd side of the board. Now I am going to clean it up and then try to reuse it but if this fails and I need a second hand one do I need to have it coded to the car.

The car is a Clio mk 3 1.2 i 16v 2005 hatchback.

All advise welcome .

Grand scenic 1.6 16v starting issues

My scenic has been getting harder to start depress clutch and it wants to start but doesent. When eventually does start just revving engines sounds good try to run and in low gears there seems to be a flat spot and start too loose power,once it picks up it runs okay

Battery good starter motor good new coil pack new spark plugs cleaned fuel rail, new cam sensor new crank sensor throttle body and it is still the same can anyone help please.

Megane privilege noise

Please could you help, I can hear a gratey noise coil noise coming from under exhaust somewhere. Had exhaust checked twice nothing wrong with it. Would anyone no what ti's can be.

ad blue contamination

Does any one know whats involved to repair adblue contamination? i have a new trafic 1.6 2017 and contaminated it with an oil funnel....(****). i have had the tank removed and cleaned but service light and engine light and exhaust light will not go out. can this model be regenerated or does it need to go to the dealer? it is now counting down the miles...does anyone know whats involved to fix?
