Check injection warning, any help

hi, on saturday I broke down, car would not start and it showing "Check injection" warning on dash, ftted a new fuel filter drove okay fo a day, and today broke down again same fault, any help

What alloy wheels are these?

Just wondering if anyone here knows what the name/code of these alloy wheels are. I've looked what feels like everywhere and have not turned up any results :/

May be tempted to get some if i can find out the name for them >:)

If it helps, I believe they are 14" and for the old Megane Mk1.

Top up oil warning 04 Scenic 1.9dci

Hi

Over the last month or so when I start the car I have randomly been getting a message on the dash (Top up engine oil) and the service light will be on, this would stay on until I turn the car off, I could fire it back up again and it wont happen or it could do it 5 times in a row. I have been checking the dip stick and the oil is just under the full mark. I was told it was the oil level sensor which 2 day ago I changed it and all was good until tonight the message came back and my oil if fine. Anyone had this before or is there something else I should be looking at and it had a service 3 months ago :frown2:

2004 Espace 2.0T ABS problem

I have bought a Espace IV with an ABS problem that I need to fix.
Have tried to read the fault codes with DDT-2000 and a VAG adapter but not manage to make it work. Read only ECU live values.
Fuses seems OK, will double check that I have measure all of them (2 or 3?)
Have tested the signal voltage on the sensors for all wheels with a brake out connection. Goes between 11.1 to 11.3V and seems to change evenly all the way around when I turn the wheel.
One of the rear sensors has a 50mV lower voltage and changes from 11,05 to 11,25V. Does this matter? Does it need to be changed?
Next I will locate the ABS control module, check all the wiring and measure the wheel signals again directly in the inputs.

BUT I realize that I need to read the ABS fault codes to come any further.
What is the best DIU code reader for older renault? That works for reading/clearing codes and is easy to use? iCarsoft? CAN CLIP? A more simple stand-alone reader with a display? Please advice me:)
Does the ABS relay often fail on these cars? Other things that is easy to test?

Scenic 3 1.5 DCI clutch replacement.

Has anyone done one and dou you need to drop the sub frame?

Fuel Gauge Stuck On Full

Hi

I have just bought a Renault Clio Diesel Eco 2015 1 month ago and last week I filled the fuel tank right to the top, and it clicked a few times until the pump wouldn't let me put anymore fuel in.SInce that date I would say I have done approx 100 miles and the fuel gauge hasn't moved.

Will this correct itself? Is there a problem that I'm missing?

Hazard switch clip?

My hazard lights come on every time I start the car, which I have concluded is down to the ECU and an expensive repair.
But the problem is that the switch comes out of its holder. How is the hazard switch held in normally?

Megane 1.5dci key card

Hi all. I have just started having a problem with my key cards for my 2009 1.5dci megane estate again. The cards open the doors with no problem but when I insert it into the card slot and try to start the car, the dashboard says key card not detected. Taking it out and placing it back in again maybe several times seems to work. Last time I had this problem my garage said it maybe the card slot needs replacing.

Has anybody else had a similar problem and if so how did you overcome it.

megane no start help

hi folks, new to this forum after having a Master camper which ran like a dream and never gave any issue I am struggling with a megane (1.6 petrol on a 56 reg plate) and hope someone can help. the car will start and run fine for a while it then cuts out and will not start for no apparent reason. it will turn over and displays braking issue, the abs light comes on and the stop light! I leave it for 10 mins and try again and it will start? it is showing no error codes and has just had a service ie filters oil etc when it is running it is fine no juddering etc but then it just cuts out for no apparent reason, I have read somewhere that the crank sensor could be a cause of this but not have a megane before I am unsure. can anyone out there shed some light on this please. I am a semi confident mechanic but this is baffling me! would a diagnostic pick something up? any help would be gratefully received :frown2::frown2::crying2::crying2:

How should I flush coolant in my Laguna II 2.2 DCI?

I want to completely flush the coolant in my 2.2 DCI (150 bhp) engine and refill with fresh stuff.


Back in 2009 member WebCode responded to a similar query by saying "There is NO drain plug.. You just pull the bottom radiator hose off, remove the header tank cap and let the coolant drain out."


That was a perfectly good answer for the question raiser, but being a bit more of a dummy, it leaves me with the question of where is the bottom radiator hose, how do I access it, and what tool do I need to release it. I'd guess it's just held in place by a jubilee clip where all I'd need is a screwdriver, but is that guess correct?


How easy is it for me to access this bottom radiator hose without using a jack or hoist or something like that?

I bought an 06 Scenic last week. Lovely clean car, with a couple of minor repairs to do.

I thought I'd change the air & cabin filters, as I always do when I get a new car.

Both filters were original, & had never been changed in TWELVE YEARS! Lol.

Incredible that no.previous owners ever thought to replace them!

ABS light STOP light and Break light on

Laguna 2006 2.0i hi all it was raining about two days ago and I went out in the car to the shop and the lights came on the dash board and the speedo went to zero MPH and haven't worked I checked both abs sensors in case rain got behind them but all seems okay and also changed abs fuse what else could I try thank you all

Buying advice Scenic/Clio 2010 - 2014 model years

First post, hopefully of many!


I am looking for some advise as I will be changing my current vehicle and one of the cars I am considering is the Scenic, having owned the mk1 1.9DCi 2003 model and loved the higher driving position and easier access, as I have back trouble. Bought for £750, ran it for 18 months, replaced the starter, heater resistor and battery and that was it, it was written off in an accident when some kind person ran into the back.


I am put off Peugeots having briefly owned a 307 1.6hdi, I can now change the injector seals in my sleep and well as the DMF failing. I cover around 20k per annum, hence the Diesel, so I am considering the Auto box as I do quite a bit of urban driving.


As I have a limited budget of a max of £4,000. I have a number of questions, apologies in advance!


Are there any common problems, the mk1's used to blow the heater resistor, do the later model Senic's have the same problem.


Does the auto box have a fluid flywheel or is it an automated manual with a dual dry plate assembly.

Good afternoon guys, I'n new here and coming to you cap in hand looking for advice, I've brought my daughter a 2006 clio extreme for her first car 64k on the clock and had to replace the clutch, that was completed over a few days due to weather and such but completed non the less. the whole time the battery was disconnected. so the car lost its radio code and such not a massive issue.

Now the car has been put back together and battery reconnected. the battery was ok and charged, first turn of the key the car started however it produced ABS light airbag light the stop light came on, I assumed that this was possibly due the amount of time the car had been without power and cleared the faults. the car seemed fin ran for a day then developed and issue with the battery light coming on and giving me a code saying the alternators voltage was too low df102, also produced a code df 091 speed sensor?:crying2:

then the car refused to start.... fast forward a few days the car now refuses to even turn over so i assumed that it was a dead battery..... so i attempted to jump start the car. not looking i managed to connect the battery terminals the wrong way round. now when you put the wind screen wipers on the Airbag passenger side light comes on ABS lights flash and the car make some crazy beeping noise the lights dim and the cars not very well.


I'v come to the conclusion that the cars just a lemon with no hope of being fixed so I'm guessing I'm saying good bye to that 750 quid Ive payed is long gone.

any help on the diagnosis would be amazing... my thoughts lay with either I've damaged the engine wiring loom or its a bcu/ecu issue.

Clio campass 1.5dci trouble starting

Hi, just bought a 2nd hand clio and having problems getting it started, fitted a new fuel pump and glow plugs, diagnostics is saying fuel pressure injector but when codes are cleared car wont even turn. Seems to start better when its jumped otherwise takes a good few goes any ideas please?

Yes you need feeler gauges to check the clearances but then to adjust the tappets you need to change the shims. You will need to find someone who has a shim kit as I do not, so I am unable to do this for you.

I have driven your car and cannot find the noises you mention. As for the washers it will need some new squirters on the bonnet as they are full of paint.

1997 Clio Mk1 1.4 RT Auto - Auto Trans Service

Hi there,

Car as above, 46k miles, can't see that it's ever had the oil change on the auto box. Not horribly black but slightly brown/pink colour so think it needs doing. Couple of questions:

1. Manual says Dexron II, I have some Dexron III on the shelf from a previous car, presume no issues using this? What is the box capacity and how much comes out during a standard drain/refill?

2. Any good how to guides, photos or videos online that you can recommend?

3. Can the filter be cleaned and reused or does it have to be replaced? Good source/part numbers to get this, if necessary?

4. Does the sump need to be removed? If yes, ditto 3. but for the sump gasket - reuse or replace?

Dash cam rewire routeing

Tidying my dash cam wiring into the headlining noticed on my interior mirror that there are two gaps either side of my mirror, rather than just hide the wiring into the gap so just asking before doing this can I do any damage to any of the systems that might be involved i.e. Auto headlights, rain sensors, gps aerial etc?

I use to have a site like this for my mercedes but now need one for the movano.


Also what is it possible to find/get/buy as worshop manual for both the van and its engine? I find stuff on google/ebay but never sure most seems dodgy or not sure what you get for the money going from 10£ for all renault made between 2000 and 2010 to 90£ for one model. Any good recommendation.

The car has done 53.000 and I don't know the history.

Is it recommended to change the belt??

Renault Master 2008 2.5 did non starter

My Renault Master suddenly stopped and failed to start it turns over ok breakdown driver arrived sprayed easy start engine fired up then stopped when easy start ran out delivered vehicle to main Renault dealer who has had vehicle for 16 weeks and still cannot find the problem they say it is not a fuel problem and they are now saying that they will return vehicle to me with problem unsolved has anybody got any solutions

Good morning. Just introducing myself to the forums.

Clutch cable stretched?

05 clio mk2 1.2 16v while driving noticed something was diffrent when pushing clutch peddle down to change gear. Felt easier to push it down than normal. It still changes gear fine except reverse u have to push clutch peddle right to the floor otherwise it grind into reverse. Am i right in thinking clutch cable has stretched? I installed 3 piece borge and beck clutch 6 months ago so clutch is ok. Also replaced gearbox oil at the same time even did full cambelt..car is at 78 thousend miles.I contacted renault parts and they want £70 for a clutch cable lol so iv found a borge and beck clutch cable for £25 just wanting to see what anyone else thinks it stretched cable and do you think b&b cable will be ok as google searches say to only use renult cables as aftermarkets known to snap months later

2009 Megane Coupe not starting

Well first thing to go majorly wrong with the car that i need help with lol

Went to start car turned over a couple of times and then went dead. Tried it a couple more times clicked very fast then stopped, display went off and came back on again.

Electric windows work and display is fine as is radio with out trying to turn engine over, so is central locking.

So........

Flat(ish) battery or knackered starter motor? Or something else?

Called AA out and then apparently arriving in next hour but wondered what you guys thought.

Oh and its more than likely original battery i would assume.

Laguna Central Locking fault

Hi can anyone please help? I cannot open the hatch door on my laguna sport tourer. The central locking works on the other doors but not the hatchback. And in the boot i've got my tools!

ESP on Grand Scenic 1.6

Hi all

Was driving along today, braked and suddenly the ESP off sign flashed on. I lost power, a sign came on saying "Press Clutch and Start button" I pressed these and then the car seemed to restart itself and ESP On showed.

This happened every time I braked. I was able to get home using mostly gears.

Does anyone have any suggestions? No mention in troubleshooting section of book. I filled up with petrol today and it was def unleaded I used. Thanks.

2006 Renault master airbag light has just come on

My 2006 renault master airbag light has just came on today while out and about in the van. Had the diagnostc machine plugged in but no codes were found.
Following reading a few posts on the forum I disconnected the battery and checked the wires and plug under the seat and all seems fine. (when i disconect the plug from under the drivers seat then reconnect the battery the airbag light is still on) Any other ideas where the fault could be?

I am looking for a place where i can browse the Renault catalog ( it was microfiche before computers arrived)

BTW is the plastic clip that hold the cover of the middle security belt in the back seat.

Blade fuses keep blowing

Renault Mégane 1.5dci 10 plate.

The cigarette lighter sockets seem to blow the fuse quite regularly. Am I right in thinking that they are 20 amp 'mini'?

I am using the same items (FM transmitter and a air compressor), and they work for about 6 months then the fuse will blow. Any reason for this?

Trafic 2002 no hand brake rear wheel

I have a Trafic with no hand brake on the rear wheel.

The cables are new, and I can see that the lever on the caliper moves fully and goes all the way to mechanical stop.

I noticed that the pads were worn, in particular the inner one, and since I happened to have a new pair, I tried with new pads. Still no hand brake.

So
1. Lever works and actuates as expected
2. The brake works (i.e. when using foot brake)
3. No hand braking at all on right rear, not even weak
4. I could see the piston moving a bit when pulling hand brake (but have no idea how much it is supposed to move)
5. Tried driving around to see if it was related to pressure after changing the pads or anything, nope
5. Confusion....

Now that I am thinking about it, could it be that it was the worn pad and that was the culprit, but when installing the new pads, I screwed in the piston too far, i.e. it really requires precision tolerance there for the hand brake to work?

Vel Satis moving mirrors at the start

Hi forum!
I recently brought a true gem my Vel Satis 04 3.5 v6. Almost zero issues with the car and one is the mirrors.
So, every time I start the car an srart driving mirrors gor in a position that I can only see the bottom of the road. It is annoying and a little dangerous if I don't set them immediately.
Is this sort of auto function that I can turn off, I thought the car adjusts mirrors when going to reverse but that is not the case. Tnx for your help!

Bonjour mes amis from a proud owner of a Mk1 facelift Trafic AutoSleeper Campervan.

Electrical(?) problems.

I have a clio ii phase 2 1.2 16v, bought 4 months ago. After servicing it 3 times in 1 month (one of which was not scheduled) I have lost all faith in it starting every morning.

A couple months ago while I was driving the "preheating/electronic fault" light popped up, car lost power and idled at nearly 2k rpm. Shut it down, started and worked normally. Never found out what it is.
Then it had issues starting. It would crank but wouldn't start. That was a dying crankshaft position sensor. Replaced.
Last week my mother left the lights on and drained the battery. I jump started it and it worked perfectly. Took it for a drive to charge the battery. The next day it would absolutely refuse to start. Cranked and "started" but as soon as i let go of the key it was off and the "coolant temperature warning" was flashing (engine with a stop written inside of it). After trying 6-7 times it fired up and worked fine since.
2 days ago it did the electronic fault thing i described above. Resolved the same way as before.
Today it started but it was too slow to respond to my accelerator input. Managed to stall it by pressing the gas too much too fast trying to get moving uphill (choked like my carburetor bike). Start was rough (idle took a while to stabilize) but worked and responded fine after that.
Also from time to time (like once every 3-4 days) the car (when warm) will start but after 3 seconds or so it will stall on its own. I go around that by giving it barely enough gas to increase the rpm, after it starts.

I know for a fact that the battery is not good. I knew from the start by the fact that it doesn't even have a brand on it. I had it tested and the electrician told me that it works but I should replace soon.
I'm also ready to buy an obd scanner for checking the faults as they show up.

My question is; can a bad battery cause all of these electrical glitches? It's my last hope before actually losing hope in the reliability of it.

Scenic dashboard display

I have just bought a 2012 Scenic as my car in Spain. We have no manuals but have managed to work out most things using google etc. One thing we can find no reference to is the dashboard display of a car with 2 leaves by it which sometimes changes to a cloud. It is permanently there when we are driving & it really annoys us that we don’t know the meaning. We assume it’s to do with how green the car is performing. Can anybody help.

Reversing camera problem

2017 Trafic sport dci energy reversing camera fault, started coming on randomly while driving and now the left hand indicater has started to beap faster. Any ideas what could be causing this only started yesterday.

Clio Uch module

Hi Gang.

I have a 55 plate 1.2 16 valve Clio.

My auto electrician tell me that the Uch is no good.

Now it's under the glove box.

Is there an easy way of getting this out??

The symptoms are that when I connect or disconnect the battery there is a spark.

When he removed the Uch fuse he said that was where the fault was/

I notice on Ebay there are firms that fix these gism's-same day service.

Has any body had experience of this??

Buying brakes without abs rings?? What does this mean?

Hi, my megane 2 1.5 DCI 08 needs new pads and discs all round. I've rung euro car parts given my reg and they have given me the right braking system (apparently there are two Bosch and teves...it's teves)

They give me the product code of eicher discs which are the cheapest but upon reading the description it says 'eicher version is without abs ring'....two questions...what is and do I need it?

Secondly they only gave me this part number but will others who are also teves system and matched to my number plate when I put it in on the euro parts website such as pagid, brembo and Bosch fit?

Windscreen cracks

Has anybody come across anything like this before, There are two vertical cracks each side of the windscreen that start at the bottom and curve round and then go straight up the window. One appeared first and then the other. My local garage say they have never seen anything like it

1997 Clio - Various Electrical Questions

Hi there,

New member here, picked up this little car for beer money a few months ago initially thinking of it as a stop gap car but it's been reliable and surprisingly enjoyable to drive and my son turns 17 next Feb so thinking we might keep it and pass on to him to learn in.

This being the case, I want to fix a few niggles on the car. I have tried searching the forum for these with no joy sadly so hopefully someone can chime in. This is my first Renault but I am an experienced hobby mechanic and have been fixing my own cars for the last 25 years so, mostly Saabs (If you didn't guess from my user name!)

1. I want to add a USB socket (like the picture below) inside the little cubby hole at the top of the dash. I want to add it to the existing cigarette lighter circuit. I can see the main interior loom goes across the top of the dash, underneath the bit you can remove with the windscreen vents in. Is there anywhere up her I can tap in to the cig lighter circuit to avoid pulling out the lower console to run a wire down there? If possible, a wiring diagram would be very useful!


2. I have a very slow passenger window. It seems particularly slow when pressing the switch in the drivers door vs the switch in the pass door itself. Is there a common fault on these - should I be looking at the switch, the motor or the wiring or just something as simple as lubing the channels in the door with silicone spray or similar?

3. The boot lock only seems to lock/unlock with doors upon pressing the keyfob intermittently, even though it works 100% of the time using the key in the boot lock. Again, any ideas where to start looking here?

4. The immobiliser seems to reactivate if you do not start the car immediately after unlocking the doors, meaning you have to cycle the lock/unlock again. This also happens if you turn off the ignition and then try and start again without locking/unlocking the doors. It's only a minor annoyance but would be nice to fix if possible!

5. I have the common sunroof leak issue. I know the issue is the seal between the sunroof unit and the car body but most of the instructions I've found (on here and youtube etc.) are for manual sunroofs whereas mine is electric. How do I remove the electric roof? Do I need to disconnect the motor or does it all come out as one unit?

6. Very occasionally (has happened twice,on both times I think it has been after going over a bump/pothole so presume this is shaking something loose) I have been unable to start the car, the starter motor does not turn at all (yes I checked it was in N or P - it is an auto). I found wiggling a white wire on the starter motor fixed the problem. Does anyone know what this wire is and whether it is repairable on the car without removing the motor? If not, is there a guide to removing the motor? Can I repair the wire do you think or is it an integral part of the motor unit - should I replace the whole thing?

Thanks in advance for your help. I think a good wiring diagram for my specific car would go a long way to answering some of these questions - is there a source for these? I have some other questions regarding the auto trans etc. but will post these in the appropriate sub forums.

Can anyone advise on the following problem. Horn not working. 1. Removed horn and tested it across battery terminals ( worked ok ). 2. Tested for voltage at horn connector ( getting 12 volts reading using multimeter, however when I put a test lamp across connector ( no light ). 3. When I press the horn at the steering wheel I register 12 volts at horn connector using multimeter. So that end appears to be ok. This problem has got me baffled so any tips or suggestions from forum members would be much appreciated.

2016 CLIO Idle problem

Hello, I have 2016 Clio 1.2 16v, and I have a problem with unstable idle when cold.



The car was preprogrammed at the dealer, but the problem still exists.

After starting, the engine runs a couple of seconds well, but then it starts misfire for a few seconds.

I would be very grateful if someone helped me solve it.

Noisy Heater Fan Scenic 2015

I am experiencing an irritating noise (clicking) from the heater / AC fan sounds like something caught in the fins. How big of a job is it to have it checked out ?
Coincidentally the noise started when in noticed the front footwell storage compartments being flooded with water (blocked drainage) which has now been rectified.

Parking Break Fault Laguna Mk3 1.5Dci 2011

clio mk2 16v ABS and serv light on since wiring damage

I had some damage to wiring loom a while back when i fitted incorrect coil pack and a specialist garage fixed the wiring.I had got a spare ecu also but original was ok.Some of the wiring loom had been damaged and since then the abs and serv light is on.I suspect that this is from the same occasion and there may be an issue with ABS ecu? I checked the fuse 10a and it is ok.I am wondering if someone could advise me the best way to trouble shoot my issue as i cannot get a warrant of fitness. I believe the codes that were read may be pointing to the rear which are drums and i can do some basic checks there but logic would suggest otherwise as the damage happened at the same time.Thoughts to trouble shoot please? Car appears to be fine in all regards driving wise.

2001 2.8 dti floor based 5 spd gear stick gear cables to dash mounted 5 lever.. OK?

Hi all,
About to lift out box and engine on my donor 2001 2.8 dti Movano tomorrow. Gearbox and engine are really really good, body is falling to pieces literally, they're going into my 2004 2.5 dci 100 that had a 2.8 dti lump & gbox fitted before my purchase and has since dropped a valve hence big swap over, I bought with dodgy 1st gear on gearbox and a sloppy all over shop dash gearstick but now bit worried about cable compatability as I'm sure mine has lift reverse on gear knob and donor just slots lovely in off floor gearstick.
Came to undoing the gear cables which I've neve come across before only ever worked on my saab and am a little stumped for removal, what's that little metal folded pin thing going through, is that tapped out? I only quickly looked at as started raining badly so didn't have chance to work out removal and now pecking my head and can't find out.
Thinking I'll remove from gearstick side and take with on engine removal, good idea?

Oil yellow and burning rubber smell from bonnet?

hi, I have a 2010 Renault Clio imusic 1.2 petrol, recently I've noticed a really bad burning rubber smell under the bonnet after I drive the car even if it's only a 5 minute journey, also when I open the oil cap it's filled with a thick yellow paste inside, there is only 68000 miles on the car and it was filled with oil about a month ago. any ideas what could be wrong?

Electronic Handbrake Help needed Pleassse

I am at my wits end - Please could someone offer me any advice ?
So I have taken the handbrake motor off the car and had it repaired and fixed - both cables have been replaced and it was all looking lovely and new. I've bolted the box down and connected the cables to the callipers - replace the rear pads and given everything a good clean up. But the problem is that the handbrake still doesn't work. there seems to be no communication from the switch to the box. The lights are still flashing on the switch so I am assuming the fuse hasn't gone. Ive tried the reset procedure detailed in this thread but nothing seems to work. Please help. Happy to pass on any knowledge Ive gained getting this far. Thanks everyone

Hey guys, twice in two days my civic has started up fine but then lost revs to the point where it stalls, I was wondering if it could be as simple as changing the spark plugs and fuel filter, any advise is appreciated thanks

Problem opening passenger door with key card **Fixed**

I have recently purchased a 2011 Renault Laguna Coupe Monaco GP. all is well but the electronic card that should open the doors doesn't always open the passenger door. I need to reach across the car and pull the internal door handle. Does the door need a new lock / solenoid or are the key card batteries low, of something else?

I think it may be time to say goodbye to motoring

Kangoo and ABS/SERV light

Hi I have a Kangoo (Expression) 06, automatic.

*Already posted at end of very old thread on similar topic but its in 'Wheels/tyres' so not sure it will get picked up so I'm reposting here in 'Brakes'. Hope that's OK*

Started with grating graunchy noise when I braked at low speeds. More recently, if I go onto 'A' road and go beyond 45mph and brake the ABS and SERV light comes on. Goes off again once I've switched off engine, parked up for a little while and then set off again.

Garage says I need new drive shafts -- one side will be about £170 and other side would be £380: or if both done at once, £550. Says they'll have to take the car in and examine before they know what needs replacing.

I know next to nothing about cars but reading the old thread in Wheels and Tyres I'm not sure the garage's diagnosis is correct. Could it be sensors and something cheaper. I'm loathed to spend that amount of money quoted above on a car I was hoping to sell in about 2/3 months time.

Wonder if anyone has any advice, please

Clutch has no resistance on Laguna 2 estate

I own a Laguna 1.9 DCI estate 2004 and diesel which has no resistance when the clutch is depressed and it does not come back up once depressed . Any ideas what the problem might be ?

2004 Grand Scenic 1.6 - Torque Screenshot, does it look ok?

My car occasionally goes into limp mode(every time I enter my work car park, I assume the bump on the way in disturbing the wiring, a quick restart fixes it). So I attached the ODB reader and took a screenshot when driving because I could smell fuel, this was driving at taround 25mph. I have attached the screenshot.


I wasnt sure which dials were needed so added a few but is the O2 sensors looking correct? The first flatlines at idle, the other is always flatlined.

multiple part numbers

I,m looking for used but good front section of subframe to fit modus/cleo, on "partsouq" they are showing 2 part numbers being 8200500488 and 8200766984 for item 2 on attached, can I fit either part and if answer is no then how can I find correct one?
Also how does it attach to rear section (item 1) all I can see is 2 pegs, is it just sat in rubber bush meaning it will just pull out.

Poor after sales support

I have a new (March 2018) Kangoo van complete with built in R-Link. Although this system is very expensive as an optional extra, updates for it are almost non-existent. I have never had any update notifications, so my SD card has never been in my computer to receive TomTom's Mapshare updates and speed camera updates. Putting the SD card into the computer simply reports that it is up to date.


The latest available maps from Renault are version 1000, released in April 2018, several months AFTER TomTom released that version for standalone satnavs. TomTom released the next version, v1005, on 27th February 2018 and the next version, v1010, on 12th June 2018 (then a minor update, v1011, to show new French speed limits, on 29th June).


So I'm on a map which is out of date by at least two versions. And it cost me a fortune to buy, compared to map update service which TomTom offer to standalone owners at less than half that price for four updates! In addition to roads being out of date (you've seen the TomTom map sales hype about updating because roads change by 15% a year), I'm also being warned of cameras which haven't been there for a year or more - TomTom cameras are notoriously out of date even when they are "up to date", so on my six month old map, they are ridiculous. Yet I have a Services subscription for which Renault are doing nothing to provide timely updates. GRRRR!!!

Espace 2007 Tailgate intermittant

Hi all, I found a lot of tailgate/rear door lock issues on the search function but none really describing my problem, here it is;

I bought this Grande Espace 2.0Dci 2007 few months ago, lovely car, my second Espace and working like a champ. Since a few weeks the tailgate seems to refuse operation now and than, lately more not working any more. I replaced the lock assembly by a second hand one but here's the thing. Sometimes it pops open when I start the car. Sometimes it pops open when I unlock the car. Sometimes it works when pressing the open button on the rear but mostly not. So the lock seems fine, the old lock had exactly the same, just the controlling but seems to fail. Might be a wiring issue but before I go and remove everything and check wiring, does anyone know if there is also a computer in between which might mess things up and needs a reset or replacement?

Accidental Kangoo owner

So there I was, slightly inebriated at a family wedding last weekend, and I happened to mention to my sister that my Fiesta was being scrapped and I was looking for a replacement vehicle, and I wouldn't mind a van...

Fast forward 3 days and we're off to Bassingbourne, she and her husband had just upgraded to a VW T4, and their bombproof Kangoo was sat gathering spiders and leaves, it was mine if I wanted it (for a bargain price).

So I got it home, made a list of jobs that needed doing:
Speedo was u/s
switch in drivers door for passenger window only worked one way
NS headlight half full of water
Seats need a proper de-gunge
Radio temperamental, only one speaker working...

Trouble is, as quick as I work through the list, new items get added to the bottom!! The biggest of which is the requirement for a second row of seats, I happen to have some, but I'm expecting fitting them to become bigger than Ben Hur!!

Anyway, enough from me for now, here she is, already named Bumble Bee by the wife, can you guess why??

Can I use A3/B4 rated oil in a modern petrol car which is rated for A3/B3 oil? (Both 5W40).

Have bought OEM Renault alloys to replace the steel wheels. Tyres are all same size. Local garage says I must get the OEM wheel bolts with washers. Do I really? Where can I get them online if so? Thanks.

Grand Scenic III 1.5dCi high diesel comsumption

I have a Grand Scenic 1.5dCi model 2011 with automatic transmission and about 250 thousand kilometers driven. I've had the car for about three months and I've been wondering if the fuel consumption is too high.

Average consumption for our mixed driving climbs up to 8.5 liters per 100 km. I've tried resetting the readings before longer trips on the highways and I can't get under 6.7 l/100 km when driving about 100 kilometers per hour.

Are these ok numbers or is something wrong? EGR? FAP?

What does code P1453 means? I have a Renault Scenic 3. 1,5dci 2012 and my obd gives me the P1453 code, but I can’t find the meaning of This . Anyone? Please.

I found many, many differnt kind of solutions that comes from P1453 code, and every model have it’s won diffinision.

This is absolutely ridiculous right? Ok make riding a bike more safe, I'm fine with that, but how are drivers suppose to gage 1.5m from the bike when your driving and suppose to be paying attention to the road? Also, what about back roads, they are narrow, you literally can't leave that gap between you and the bike so what do you do? Do you sit behind the bike and get beeped out, swore at etc or do you over take praying to God that the cyclist doesn't have a camera attached, let alone a police man/vehicle around the bend.

The £100 fine we could live with but 3 points on your license too. REALLY??!!

My stop and battery lights have been flashing for the last week now they are solid and the battery isnt charging. Im guessing its the alternator but is there anything else it could be before i buy an alternator.

Espace 2007 rear mirror conversion to auto dim?

Hi, I tried searching for more info here but couldn't find any results, hope someone can help me here.

My 2007 2.0Dci Espace has a standard rear view mirror. I had been told they are pretty easy to replace by an auto dimmer version. Sometimes there is apparently already a plug behind the central cover, if not you would only need a 12V source to power it, maybe taken from the upper reading lights. I did open up the cover and found a connector, although I don't think its an original one. I will mease if there's 12V anywhere.

Secondly I ordered one from a secondhad store in Netherlands, Marusia parts. Now.....the connector has 4 wires...
Before I "trial and error" and blow-up the electrics of this mirror, anyone have a clue where to connect the 12V to??? See pictures below for the situation.

Anyone else aware of the serious issues they are having with this engine?

I'm hearing rumours of a HUGE number of engines being replaced.....

My Megane 3 has already had an engine and turbo under warranty for it.

I wonder if they'll admit to it.... I've emailed customer services for some assurance that my new engine will be ok.

Fuel consumption

Hi I have a 1.5 dci 2016 clio when I bought it I looked up all the reviews and it said it gets between 60 - 80 mpg but mine seems to be drinking the fuel my 2.2 civic used less fuel any ideas please

Corroded multiplug under passenger seat

Hi. I bought a 57 plate Renault Grand Scenic (Has Megane showing on both rear passenger doors). It is a 1.9 diesel automatic, 7 seater quite high mileage
Neither rear electric window works.
I have had it since April and in the last month or so the electronic handbrake Switch has stopped working, it only releases when I drive off and sets when I switch off the engine. Obviously it won***8217;t pass the next MOT!
I***8217;ve tried a replacement switch it made no difference.
I have been told that it could be a bad connection under the passenger seat, so I lifted the passenger seat out today, the grey multi connector plug had obviously corroded and someone has hacked it off, badly!
I***8217;m amazed that so many wires appear to be the same colour etc, but I really need to reconnect these back together. Is there a colour wiring diagram for that multi plug that I can download or can anyone help me please. I***8217;ve got until end of the year.

Master 2.2 dci engine fades then stops

Had an ongoing problem with van non starting over a period of 18 months since we've had it.We've had 2 new injectors one in 2016 and another recently, it's had 2 crankshaft sensors in the last 2 years. 2 new EGRs in the last 2 years. Glow plug relay. New can sensor. We thought we had sorted the problem but last week it stated fine then after running for 15 mins engine just cut out! So on the right hand passenger side there is what looks like a sensor right at the bottom of the engine that looks like an oxygen sensor but not on the exhaust pipe. Two wires are connected to It and the AA guy said this is the problem. Any ideas as to what this unit is so we can replace it ?

Wheel Nuts

A guy is driving when one of his wheels comes off!
He manages to pull over safely and recovers the tire.
When he does he notices that he does not have any spare lug nuts to re-secure the tire the car.
He spends a good long while pacing around the car and cursing. He notices that he is being watched by a man in blue scrubs and white slippers and robe behind a tall fence.
Finally the guy in the robe asks the driver, "Do you want to know what I think?"
The driver responds , "No, you ucking moron, I don't want to know what you think! Can't you see that I'm stuck here and the nearest gas station is miles away!"
The guy in the robe suggests that the driver take a nut from each remaining tire to secure the rogue one. That way, each tire has three and he can make it to the gas station.

04 trafic pk6 025 gearbox

Hi can anyone help I have a 2004 trafic 19dci . The gear box needs replacing is there any other gearbox that I could fit in place of the pk6 025 that is fitted at the moment

Renault Master II (2007) - Need engine room fuse box and relay diagram?

Hello,

I have a 2007 Renault master (2.5 DCI with 120 bhp I believe it is).

Now recently the main lights stopped working, both at once.

I replaced the bulbs although they looked OK; no change.
I checked the fuses under the steering wheel, none look like they have blown. (I replaced one just to be sure, no change.)
The horn works and all the indicators for changing lights etc seem to work (the dashboard indicates full and half lights etc as expected).

Anyway - I want to try and replace the relay and any headlight related fuses (other than the obvious fuses under steering wheel that are covered by the nice diagram next to the fuse box).

My problem is I can't seem to find any diagrams, pictures or even written information on what the fuses and relays in the engine room fuse box are for, or if indeed the headlight relay(s) are placed somehwere completely different that I have not even found yet.

I have now spent close to 10 hours looking for information to no avail. Hence my post here.

Could someone please help me out, any information on the engine room fusebox diagram, or where to find light related relays would be greatly appreciated!

Clio Dashboard Melting

Help I need someone to look at this problem for me. My 2016 (December) Clio has been showing a kind of melting in the pattern on the dashpad. It usually has a diamond pattern, but very early on, before the first service, I noticed a little area that had blended in pattern. I reported it to the dealer and nothing done. It spread, both sides of the dash and now in the middle. It starts that the pattern blends together, then raises up, then bubbles then blisters. I took it to an independent expert and he pointed out that the entire dashboard is warping. Renault has said it is not a warranty issue. I have a 5 year unlimited warranty. They have said it is pressure on the dash. I am a 59 year old woman with a heart condition, so I am not Thor! It is literally spreading before my eyes. Renault will not even have an expert look at it. I have taken it to 8 independent experts and all have said it looks like a type of vinyl cancer or a problem with the adhesive under the top coat. I really want my little Clio fixed but Renault have just pushed me aside. Help, am I imagining this? We don't use anything on the dash. I have used a dry microfibre cloth to keep the dust off. Don't have air fresheners or anything on the dash. Please can your experts here let me know what you think?

Trafic clutch problem

Hi all the clutch pedal on my 08 2.0 trafic dropped to the floor. I noticed a puddle at the front end and looked underneath finding a pipe hanging loose with like an L shaped plastic end on. It fits into the back of the gearbox but I assume the system now needs bled. Any ideas please what has caused the pipe to come out as it seems a tight fit now its back in place. Also any tips on bleeding the system please. Cheers

Check Injection Message

Hi i have a Renault megan***8217;s ***8220;05***8221; reg mk2 1.5 dci 86 bhp, just recently the check injection warning message has came on, it is starts quite bad only/mainly on the 1st initial start up from cold, (8-10 hours or so since last start/run) then starts & runs ok once above 1200-1500 rpm,it is idling & running a little heavy below 1200 rpm & on tick over, but once revived & or driven above 1200 or so rpm it runs & sounds fine, any thought or ideas woulbe welcomed & appreciated.

New to here please help me

I have a Renault Clio 14 plate. A month ago my car went in as the seatbelt sensor was going off a lot even when no one was in the seat, nothing on the seat and even when the belt was plugged in. I got a new part but since my cars been back in twice. The noise is still going off usually when I go around a corner/roundabout over a speed bump that sets it off and can go 20 minutes straight! However, garage is telling me there is nothing wrong with the car. It is driving me crazy!! Renault have been so helpful and even kindly contributed to the cost as my car was a month out of warranty. They are now covering this part fully under warranty but garage is persistent that there is nothing wrong with the car. Past two times I have had the car back a few days before starting again. I Have even shown a video of this happening to the technian. I just do not know what to do and desperate to just have my car back fully working again. Thank you in advance

megane alternator noise

have a 2005 1.5 dci megane, there is a high pitched noise coming from the alternator that gets louder as revs increase, put the screw driver to my ear then the alternator, i think it might be the alternator clutch. can these be bought, easy enough job? or best changing alternator

Additional 12v socket

Has anyone added another socket in their kangoo before? I have a blank panel I can mount one on and want to splice it into the existing sockets wiring. Just unsure on +/- and earth orientation as the wiring colours seem to change throughout all the components. TIA.

Fluence 2014 Tdi - engine Failure HAZARD every Drive randomally for the past 3 years

so i got the fluence from my uncle cus he got new car

the Engline FAILURE HAZARD comes so much times like every drive out side the city on my way to work - and sometimes i already know when it gonna appear-example when i on 100kmh and leave the gas after 15 seconds it appeard and its feels like the turbo sut down and everytime the gear change it get bumpy

he told me he ived with that 3 years dont ask me why he didnt do something about it eh told me he tried to go the mechanics but thay didnt know what the problem

maybe someone here know something to do or what could be the problem its very anoying

Cannot find brackets & Clips for 2008 Grand Espace Sunroof

One of the 4 metal brackets (the ones that slide) that hold the sunroof has rusted.
However, I cannot find this part for sale anywhere.
I see sunroof repair kits for the Renault Megane and Scenic which have similar metal brackets and clips, but they look a wee bit different. The one on the Espace (which I removed) is a slightly different design/shape with a fixed white plastic bit at one end and a rubber clip in the middle.
Does anyone know where I could find one?
And could the ones for the Megane/Scenic work (but I doubt it).
has anyone else had this problem?
Very grateful for any help as I have run up against a brick wall.

Trafic Sat nav wiring

and ive also bought the sat nav unit from a 2016 traffic with the codes but not additional connectors (looms?)

does anyone out there know what wiring looms I need to get the sat nav working.

Ive looked everywhere on the interweb and just cant find the answer

Buying a 1.9 DCi car - advice about oil leak

Hi folks,

I've found a 2011 Megane III 1.9 DCi that I've agreed to buy. It seems a nice car and is a reasonable price, but there's an oil leak from the pipe on the top of the engine. I've attached a photo I took.

Can anyone tell me what it is and whether it's something I should be worried about.

Virgin Media Networking

Just a ramble really but advice, suggestions or whatever welcome.

We have recently changed it all around with VM to cancel Son's account in his top floor flat and run the whole house off one account.
Halved our total monthly bills, got extra boxes and content so generally happy.
However, now only one incoming router, a Superhub 3 with 350 mbps incoming speed.

And it generally gives that speed whenever we run speedtest (Ookla) at his PC. Been over 400 so no complaints with VM.

It does mean we had to network to ground floor, to get acceptable tinternet speed at 'Er Indoor's and my PCs not to mention wireless.
Tried plug in extenders but (thanks to VPL) realised they were throttling the signal as limited to 100mbps.
Run about 40 yards of Cat5e, played with different RJ45 plugs and ended up with a consistent 200 to 220mbps speed at my computer.
This is with a TP link Archer 2 gigabit wifi router downstairs with the feed from the SH3 into the WAN port, then direct wired connections to my PC and to 'Er Indoor's unit and onwards to another gigabit switch feeding tother stuff (VM boxes)
SH3 in normal wifi router (not modem) mode.
TP Link settings default with SH3 setting dynamic IP addresses etc.

All seemed happy despite a nominal 150mbps drop along the new cable but can live with that. Or can upgrade cable if I decide I can't.

This is where it got silly.
Ran like that for a few days and then dropped to 50-70mbps at my PC.
SH3 still saw the TP link as 1000mbps.
Bypassing TP Link made no difference, rebooting all, unplugging, swapping ports still saw 350mbps at son's PC, max 75 at mine.
Google brought up plenty of networked superhubs seeming to have this sort of issue but no solutions.
Plenty of jargon on setting static IPs and modem mode not to mention spending a small fortune of top of the range kit but frustrating thing was mine had worked and I could not find a change.

Found a hint on one forum... PC network card settings.
Into device manager, network card properties and advanced. Speed setting.
Was set to Auto Negotiate.
Reset it to 1000mbps full duplex and reboot.

Back to 200-220mbps.
Seemingly no adverse effects on other PCs or use.
Pages are flying in on the web.

Dunno technical terms but seems like the Superhub3 doesn't like playing with auto negotiation and can latch up at a slow speed.


Early days but at the moment, a happy bunny.
Just gotta stick a gigabit network card into 'Er Indoor's PC cos her onboard connection is 10/100. And she is moaning :grin2:

Clio MkIII wiper problem

So...
End of Feb I had the problem with the wipers only working on fast. Stripped down and found the motor had been submerged due to blocked up drain holes (lots of good info on the forums for this). Bought a new motor off ebay and replaced then all was working fine until last week when the wipers kept stopping after a minute then do not respond at all until next time we turn the car over. Stripped it down and cleared up the drain again. Tried the motor without the arms and it worked fine for about an hour. Put the arms back on and they stopped. Took arms off for another look and back on again and its worked fine all week until this morning when it stopped working again. What could be wrong? Could it be the cheap aftermarket motor I bought from ebay? Or maybe something with the linkage or even the wiper arms. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Engine swap

I'm running a MK2 scenic and just wondering what and if possible engine could I swap in place for the stock 1.6vvt petrol engine. I'm wanting something with more grunt and that can be turbo'd and upgraded with forged pistons etc.

Carminat DVD update

I have just purchased a 2009 Laguna 2.0 GT and it has the Carminat Navigation ET Communication Carminat Bluetooth DVD Europe V31.1 which I believe is 2011.

Does anyone know what is the latest maps I can get and where? I have tried the Tom Tom and Renault website and there is nothing there or they are dead links.

Laguna 2 speaker upgrade

Hello! I'm thinking about speaker change in my Laguna 2. Any suggestions what to choose? Best price/performance.
I would like to change all door speakers. And preferably stay with original head unit.
If it's suggested to change head unit too, what you could recommend?
Changing small speakers in panel will change something?

Could they be OEM? Don't have proper tool on hand to unscrew them and see the other side.
