I have a Renault scenic.
The ignition barrel is broken in that the key won't spring back when I turn the engine on and the starter motor keeps turning.
If I turn the key back manually everything seems to be working ok.
Do I need to get this fixed? Is it damaging the engine? I don't want to have to pay £200 if I don't need to.
