I have an intermittent problem with the indicators not working when turning left. If I wiggle the indicator stalk sometimes they come on, others they don't.
Fuses are all present and correct. Hazard lights work off the switch and all bulbs flash.
I am assuming the fault is with the stalk itself, as wiggling it does make it work sometimes, and have purchased a new stalk from a Renault specialist.
My question - does the steering wheel need removed to replace the stalk? I have seen conflicting reports, some saying it does, others saying it doesn't. And does the stereo have a code which will be lost when I disconnect the battery?
I obviously don't want to start the job thinking it's a 20 minute fix and find myself still working on it 3 hours later, or worse still accidentally deploy the airbag when I reconnect the battery.
