Hey guys, I am in the process of fitting a new dephaser pulley and I am having an issue understanding the haynes manual. It says to ensure that the dephaser is neither advanced or retarded before tensioning the timing belt. As the dephaser is locked I am unsure as to what it is. I have completed the tensioning process but have not refitted the cover until i am sure it is correct. Anyone out there tackled these and give me some pointers please. Many thanks.
