just bought a renault espace 2.2dci today 2002 the race model. i bought it with a problem with smoking under idle, normal and heavy accelleration. i stopped for coffee on the way home and when i got back to the car there was a large puddle of oil under the car, so have had to tow it home, not had a chance to get a look under it but just wondering of any suggestions of what it could be

on the way home i pulled up for coffee, and when i got back to the car there was a huge puddle of oil.
any ideas what this could be just from what i have said.
not had a chance to look due to being dark, but give me something to check when i get under it. i know it seems to have come from the rear of the engine
