K9K 770 (892) engine with various HP

Hi,



I'm looking for some information about engine that I have in my Clio III ph 2.



The Engine is K9K 770 55kW.



I found information that the same engine with the same code may have 65kW (88HP). Even with the same gearbox!

Does anyone know the diffirence? I would like to make these changes if it's possible. It's always have more power!



The same story is with K9K placed in Dacia with code K9K 892. Both of them may have 55kW or 65kW.

Renault Scenic Faults

My Scenic 05 petrol is driving me nuts have the ABS light on my dash and code DF037 ABS Injection multiplexed emissions missing frames.... Any one help me as the mechanic is at a loss not used to working on electrical cars.

Any help greatly apprenticed. :confused::crazy:

key card components

Hello!

I've trying to put the insides of my cracked key card for my Scenic II into a new card shell... Unfortunately when cutting the old card shell, I swiped through a rectangular shaped component... there are two of them, one in each of the top corners (opposite end to the battery) - - - the card still works though... does anyone know what these oblong shaped components in the corners do??? They seem to have lots of coiled wire inside!?!?!

Modus bonnet release - fixed

Hi Just thought I'd share a fix to the bonnet that wouldnt release on 05 Modus.

Not sure if this best way but it worked for us.....

On front bumper remove the driver side black plastic grill (just to left of the renault badge).....This can be done using a screwdriver to lift bottom edge (protect paint with towel as you prise) and release the clips that hoold bottom edge to bumper).....Next is the tricky bit - Theres a vertical 'Peg' that holds the left hand side of the gril in place which can only be accessed once bonnet up (which as its stuck is a challenge !)........The peg drops into a hole in the grill when its in place but luckily the tab that the peg fits into is weak and with careful prising on LHS of grill with large screwdriver the tab can be 'forced' (split) which sounds worse than it is. Once released the grill easily pulls forward at lower edge and down thus allowing its removal.

Immediately behind the grill you'll find a small plastic cover over the air intake......prise it free at the front (where it locates on the bumper) and then roll the top of the trim backwards away from you at the top as you push the top to release the trim from behind the bumper on its upper edge (just wiggle the trim - it comes free pretty easily)

Now you should see the bonnet catch assembly through the aperture ......2 * 13mm studs can be accessed (long reach socket with 1/4" drive ratchet best for this).

Once removed the studs allow the bonnet to be raised sufficient to release it from the catch!

Wasnt as bad as we thought.......30mins max (including reassembly (once you've fixed the original problem of why the bonnet wasnt releasing Eg Stretched cable).

I may not be the typical member, at 53, but just bought a cracking 1.2 16v 54 plate to teach my son to drive in. I used to drive Renaults when I was younger. I had a 16GTS, a 21 and a 25.



I am sure I will be on here hunting down answers to common issue with the clio.

Megane noisy belt or pulley

Hi to all, thanks in advance for any help . I have a megane 07 petrol with a very noisy belt or pulley at 3 thousand revs or more. It's more apparent when foot comes off the gas sounds like a loud food blender something metal spinning.

I also think that the car cutting out at odd times in morning when cold is related also weak power till warmed up.



I've been told Tdc timing sensor to which I agree but I'm certain as well that the belt or pulley system has a problem.

Scenic Auto dipped-beam headlights

I have just bought a Renault Scenic Dynamique TomTom 64 plate. On my Vehicle settings customisation menu I have ticked the "Auto dipped-beam headlights" option. Nowhere else is this phrase to be found verbatim. The only other option I can see mentioned in the handbook is the "Automatic main beam headlights", is this the same thing? When I asked the dealer about them he said it was automatic adjustment of the dipped headlights under different load conditions in the back of the car and the boot which I'm doubting! Can anyone tell me which of the features does "Auto dipped-beam headlights" actually refer to? The vehicle has automatic headlights, but those are controlled by the lighting stalk.
