Camshaft dephaser circuit???

My car renault megane scenic 1.6 16vvt petrol.

When we check with computer it shows this error.

Can somone tell me what is going on and what I should to do?

Hi guys thought i would share my new purchase.Its a late 2002 Espace 2.0 16v "the race" with 104500 miles this is my second renault,the last one was a early 2004 clio that my partner had from new until about 2 -3 years ago.

Renault laguna 03 1.8 o2 sensor or coil??

Hi guys, i have just had my mot done on the car. They popped it on the diagnostic and the engine(orange) light went out and they said it does say the second 02 sensor had a fault but its cleared itself. Now after driving it for around an hour the light has come back on. After reading around i see alot of people saying that this also could be the ignition coil. The garage has quoted me £174 for the sensor and fitting which is kinda alot. The car itself runs okay, ive noticed at times it idles a little low or a little inconsistent but it isnt that bad at all? Am i right in thinking this can damage the cat converter etc if i dont get it done? any opinions on this please?

Workshop time....

Off to Mallorca soon and my missus is a keen road biker. Best days are when we do something as a family then drop her off to cycle home whilst we drive to the house to light the bbq. We've hired a bike and Berlingo so need to carry the bike in the boot along with beach gear.

Welded up a support for rear of bike frame. High enough to keep the front cogs off the ground.

I've a front support but needed a way of adjusting the length between supports to fit the bike. Settled on some light pine and used bolts as pivots. I can adjust the length and the diamond shape stops it tipping over.

Undo the wing nuts and it packs down to fit in luggage.

This may be the key to a happy holiday!

Probvlems with Laguna Mk11 1.9 TD

HELP !!!!!!!!!

Due to injury I had not driven for 3 months went out 2 days ago and it turned over sluggish. Recharged battery turning over great but wont fire up. checked card reader no problems, bled it ,no problems apart from bulb going rock hard when it reaches the pump. Traces of fuel at injectors, Put on Maxidiag. can read ABS and Airbags no problem but cant communicate with engine. Stripped all major electrical connbectors and dosed with contact cleaner, did same with engine fuse box. Immobiliser light flashing when ignition off but goes solid when cranking/ Also when opened electrical connectors they all. showed traces of dampness.

The only progress I have made up to now is to recall the swear words I used to know and transmit bad thoughts to Renault.

To my mind it boils down to something sticking with the layoff or engine computer.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Laguna III 'Parking Brake Fault'

Hi,

My Laguna III has had an intermittent fault with the parking brake: When I park on a steep slope it will beep at me and display a warning. The parking brake has always worked fine and when I've pulled away the light has normally gone out and the car has been fine. Occasionally (probably 3rd time in 2 years) I get a permanent warning that comes up in the centre of the dash stating 'Parking Brake Fault' lit up as bright as the sun alongside lit up Spanner and Stop warnings. The parking brake still works fine, engaging when needed and automatically releasing. But the warning is so bright its dangerous and it blocks out the mileage, trip computer, parking sensor graphic etc.

Couple of questions:

1. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? My local Renault garage seem to just turn off the warning and say there's no fault code - that was fine under warranty but now I'm out of warranty they want £66!

2 can the display warning only be reset with CAN CLIP. I have an ODB tool and the reset on that made no difference.

For info, the brakes are sound as they were all done 6 months ago.

Hi guys,

Will take delivery of a dealer-registered Megane 1.5 dci Knight edition on Friday. Hopefully will not spend too much time on here researching faults - although I wondered if anyone has a similar vehicle and what they think of it?
