renault kangoo 2005 sender unit

Hi can anyone help me please. I would like to know if I can change the sender unit in my 55 plate kangoo. I have filled it to the top with diesel and its still showing 2 bars off full tank so think the sender unit may have gone. Or if anyone has any ideas on what it coukd be instead of sender unit. Any help greatly appreciated :-)
