For some time now my gearbox has been struggling to reverse and it's getting worse each week, when the accelerator is applied and especially on an incline.
The ATF has been checked and is ok, I'm told, and was partially replaced as a precaution.
CAN CLIP comes up with fauly DF105 - declutching with stationary. Def 2, Clutch C2 released.
It feels like it's slipping or encountering resistance in reverse, and Drive is now becoming a bit lumpy too, with occasional jolts up and down the gears whilst driving.
We have now bought a used SU1 gearbox to transplant, from another 3.0 dci, but wanted to see if anyone can kindly offer any advice e.g. does it involve removing the engine too, and can we reprogram the gearbox ourselves using CAN CLIP or will a dealer visit be required?
