Trafic Turbo issues poor uphill/load acceleration 1.9 dci

Hi.

Just recently i am having issues with my turbo where as i am not getting enough turbo in gears 3 and above.

it stated happening last week i can figure out what it is and i need some advice.

OK, first and second gear seem to be fine when pulling away. If the incline is little then 3rd gear seems fine to but there are some roads i'm used to driving on in 4th or 5th gear but i cannot get out of 3rd. Even if i rev to the limiter (3800) then change into 4th it hit around 2200 revs and then drop. the turbo doesn't kick in and lose all power. have to change back into 3rd. it shouldn't be like this.

I have the oil changed every year. Just replaced the air filter again and waiting for another fuel filter to come to try that.

The MAF was replaced last year and still looks brand new inside. I disconnected it and test drove it and if anything the performance is worse so reconnected it.

Today i removed the EGR valve (replaced 2 years ago but didn't need replacing) and cleaned and replaced including MAP nipple and no different. No black or blue smoke either.

Pressure tested the 3 vac pipes (MAP and Boost solenoid) all good no holes. Cleaned all pipes and nipples and made sure all good fits.

Waste gate on the turbo is not stuck

i tried pressure testing the air intake by removing the MAF and covering the holes with a clear plastic bag and rubber band, removed the tube from the MAP sensor and using compressed air tried testing at 5 psi but it wont even hold that for a second. I'm either doing it wrong or a have a major air leak somewhere. Would this work pressure testing like this ?

I either think i have a air leak somewhere and need to make sure i'm testing it properly or i have a faulty sensor. Map sensor, fuel sensor.

I must be able to test these with a multimeter but not sure on pins and voltages.

any other things i could check.

also if anyone knows of a code reader that will read 2004 F9Q 1.9 DCi engine codes then please let me know. I have tried ELM327 with various software and to no avail. there must be something that'll read and delete fault codes for this engine.

sorry for the long post. thanks in advance
