Car problems

hi all newbie here , can anyone help just bought megane 1600cc petrol 16v 2005 its been starting 1st time ticks over ok runs ok but : sometimes when i change gear mainly from 2nd to 3rd the car seems to over rev had the car for about three weeks everything else seems fine no warning lights many thanks for any replies
