Engine Power

Hi, I have a 1.4 2003 Megane and I would like to know if there is anything I can do to improve the engine power.

As you may know the 1.4 is a bit under powered, so is there anything I can do to this engine to get more from it or should I be looking at changing the engine to the 1.6?
