Hi All again
I have spent a couple of days now searching the internet (mostly this forum) high and low for answers to my problems and have came back to a few possible faults
I have owned the car for around 18 months now and ever since i bought it i have had a blueish smoke problem. My turbo packed up on me about 8 months ago and i replaced it along with a new EGR valve. Ever since having the new turbo the car has whistled a lot louder then it ever did before and just recently she has stated to smoke alot more. I pulled the bonnet the other day to find my oil breather pipe had blown off from the oil filler and spewed oil all over the top of my engine. I poped it back on and took it for a spin, again it popped off and more oil everywhere. I decided to take the egr out and clean it up as i know theres a common problem on these engines for the egr's to stick (all was fine with the egr) upon taking the EGR off i noticed the actuator bar had fallen off and was dangeling so i connected it back up put everything back together and started her up. Now the turbo seems like its running constantly and sounds like its gonna blow even when idle.
My questions are what do you think the smoke could be down to, could it be a fualty turbo again and why do you think my turbo is running constantly coud the actuator be set incorrectly
Thanks in advance everyone
