Accident caused light faults!

About two months ago my Twingo GT was rear ended. I was at a dead stop and the other driver was travelling approx. 30mph. After problems with the bodywork I've finally got the car back with new bumper, new boot and relevant repairs. I have two outstanding issues however that the garage will not accept as part of the accident. Both are electrical and both are at the front of the car. The first is the rear fog indicator on the dash flickers when indicators are on or when I brake and the second is that my heating dials no longer illuminate when my lights are on.

Neither of these were an issue before the accident, I don't know if shock or items moving in the cabin caused them but the insurance company is sending a third party out to do an evaluation of the car. I'd appreciate any input people might have had in similar situations or input about Renault electronics and whether the insurance will try and pass this off as wear and tear?

Thanks.
