I have a 1997 Espace and every now and again, the stop light and the brake symbol comes on on the dashboard and there is a peeping noise. The car also occasionally just cuts out and wont start again for 10-15 mins It has just been MOT'd so there is nothing wrong with the brakes. I havent had this problem for a long time, but it has started up again since I had my winter tyres changed to summmer. About three years ago, this problem was extreme and a friend wrote on this forum for me and someone very kindly told me to clean some small censor underneath the car. I got a work mate to do this for me but I no longer work there and I cannot remember what it was that he cleaned out. ! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
