I was having a chat to a workmate regarding the emergency parking brake release on our Scenic 2 as he had a Passat which doesn't have this facility if there is a problem with the brake.
I thought I best check that ours was working , just in case we had an issue. Guess what - I can't find the release handle , it is not where the manual said it is and there is only ONE cable coming from the mechanism under the car next to the wheel well , this goes to the splitter . There is a short cable (150mm) that also comes from the mechanism but it has a sealed end ???
The car was a one owner vehicle purchased from a main Renault dealer.
Thoughts ???
