Hello. I purchased a 2005 megane 1.6 vvt petrol last week. The engine management light & service light came on while driving it home. I'm getting fault code P0340 on my code reader (i'm going to buy a new camshaft sensor this week).
I've also noticed in the last few days that there is a rattling noise when i'm accelerating to change to higher gears.
I've read some similar posts here suggest the dephaser pulley could need replacing, but i'm not having any issues starting the car or the engine stalling. I also don't notice the rattle any other time.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I'm a total novice, and have only changed a wheel before...
