Scenic wont start

Hi guys, im a little stuck with this 1, was useing a mates 2001 scenic 1.6 16v on the way to work and the car died on me, no warning no clatter no nothing, thought maybe could be fuel so walked 20mins and topped up with a gallon, still didnt start, so recovered home and left till the morning. I have tested the coil packs by leaving the plugs in and turning over the car and sparks fine, fuel pump primes and runs when cranking, injector rail is full of fuel and when removed fires fuel out of each 1. The fuel even caught fire from the spray when removed from there holes by the vapour goin into the injector seats, so confirms that is sparking well. I have tested the crank sensor and seems to be working fine. If this is unplugged will it kill the spark ? as this is what i did and got no spark so im thinking its fine.Also got a reading from a ohm meter, if the tdc sensor was faulty i would think that this would stop it from sparking ? Seems like its getting fuel and spark just doesnt want to start, seems like its a timing issue possibly sparking at the wrong time. Scan with a cheep scanner and came back clear. Also immobilisor seems to be working ok.Running out of ideas, any advice guys ?
