orange light on dash megane, help please

hi

i have a 2002 megane coupe, runs and drives fine, the only issue i have is there is a orange light that stays on, its on the left of the dash, it sits just left of where 2.0rpm is, it has a sign like the brake light on it but its orange not red, my handbook says this is not used but it must be as its on, its due for mot soon and this light will fail i think

any help would be great
