check injector

hi I have recently purchased 2007 RENAULT LAGUNA 1.9dci estate. everytime I seem to put it in 5th or 6th gear the spanner light comes on and says check injector. im no car buff but wondered what could be wrong how much it will cost and if it is covered by the warentee
