Grand scenic clicking whilst turning

Hi all,



First please let me apologise if thi subject has been covered before.



Regarding a 55 plate grand scenic, whilst accelerating and turning we get a loud clicking noise, sounds like a stick on bike spokes. If you take you're foot off of the accelerator and keep turning the noise stops.



Have been told it's a porp shaft/steering rack issue.



Am happy to fix myself, any help much appreciated.
