I'm onto my 3rd Renault, the first 2 were problem free and now that my current Laguna (56 1.9 DCi) has escaped the garage that sold it to me I'm hoping this one will be as trouble free as they were :)
I've had :-
1.4 Petrol Clio (97 Auto), plenty of rattles and bangs but rock solid, never missed a beat but was a tad ragged round the edges.
1.6 Megane (06 Auto) not so much as a glitch ever, sadly torched by some scrotes and a firework around 7 weeks ago hence my move onto the Laguna (56 Manual).
Had a few little issues with this one as it needed a new window regulator that garage sorted this before I bought it, it then failed a fresh MOT on rear bushes that was also sorted by the garage so not really an issue but... Day one of ownership the dash lit up 20 miles from said garage and it was then back with them for another week and a half while they replaced the fuel pump for the first dashboard xmas party and then the DP filter when the dash went light happy the day before I was due to collect it again. It's not cost me anything except the 'fun' of driving a bog standard 10 plate polo for a week and I'm ever hopeful that the Laguna will now be pretty much problem free, I've run almost 700 miles on it since without a blip.
Oh, my cars get named by my step daughter :o the clio was steptoe as he was a bit of a bin, the Megane was Pumba (due to his fat rear end) the Laguna is Cedric.
I think that is enough for now :)
