Im trying to find out the best way to static time a Kangoo 1.9DCi and need some help! :)
I am aware of the crank locking pin which goes into the engine block at the front. However in Renaults wonderful design department they failed to notice that their wonderful crank locking pin which is necessary to lock the crankshaft in position is inaccessible!!!!!!!!! Blocked by not only the radiator cowling, 2 coolant pipes, and several other things not readily removable. But the bodywork doesnt allow for access even if I could get to it anyway!
The only way I can see of getting to it would be to take the engine out! And thats not happening! Id rather scrap the heap of junk and never work on a renault ever again than do that!
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the crankshaft locked?
NB. Theres no access port on the flywheel that I can see either!
