2004 1.5dci Scenic TURBO/INTERCOOLER

Please can I have some serious help?

we have had no end of aggravation with turbo and intercooler problems, and ridiculous oil consumption.

The turbo was replaced with recon unit in the UK, we live in spain, all was fine, got back to spain 900 quid lighter, 6 weeks after home the same problem, loss of power, blue/white smoke out of exhaust and no power.

Taken to my local very trustworthy garage and they said turbo had gone down again, this time with the intercooler which had been cleaned on the first fix.

So all was sorted, another turbo, previous one returned to UK, we knew they would claim otherwise, but we know nothing.

Our car is fine but we have done 1200km, and the oil dipstick is on the very bottom..... now is this kind of oil usage normal for a car of this age?

We have normal power restored and also a better understanding of how the turbo and intercooler work..... if this kind of oil usage is a normal renault thing then great, but our neighbour has a much older petrol megane and his has oil barely moved in 12 months!

I am at my wits end with this and we need urgent advice as my wife is on priority list for liver transplant... that is quite genuine, and I need to go to the renault garage and say look, this is stupid!

so please any ideas, knowledge something to try and ese my mind, understanding would be most appreciated...

many thanks

Steve
