Keyless entry problem

Hi Folks,

I have recently bought a 2008:

Renault Laguna 3 Privilege dCi 110 BHP 1.5.

I like it but it's a learning curve...

the one issue I have is the keyless entry..

the car locks itself when I walk away but will not open on my return when I put my hand in front of the door handle sensor.

Any ideas..
