Possible Key Problem

Hi guys. On my 1999 Clio 1600 RXE, the button in the middle locks/unlocks all doors as it should. The key does not. The red light on the key flashes twice but nothing happens. Also the key in the door only unlocks/locks the door the key is in. Any help much appreciated. I have done the re-synching option.
