Hi folks first time in this Forum.
I have a Renault Scenic 2004 automatic 1.6 petrol model I believe its the " expression " class.
My tailgate/boot has a very odd problem when pressing the button on the boot to open it has no reaction and is stuck closed!
Yet by a fluke I discovered that putting my Keycard into the slot and pressing the START/STOP button on the Dashboard twice whilst a second person repeatedly presses the boot button. Not only allows the boot to be opened and closed, locked and unlocked both with the button on boot and on my keyfob...
Only to stop working as soon as the car is turned off and locked unless I repeat these bizarre steps.
I did take apart the boot fascia and checked all cables around boot for any wear and tear ( I found none ) and I took the Lock and motor mechanism apart and cleaned with WD40 and put back together again to no avail.
It's hard for me to determine where the fault lies with such a bizarre problem any help would be appreciated!
