The auxiliary belt has snapped on my girlfriends camper van and we had to be towed
home today.
I spotted the snapped belt straight away and we called the RAC to come and have a look. Obviously we need to remove the belt from the water pump and power steering as one the pulleys for the aux belt runs behind this. After me and the RAC man loosening what we thought was the necessary nuts etc for the tensioner we still could not get any slack on this other belt so we could fit the new aux belt.
In the end he gave up and towed us home.
does anyone have a diagram of the tensioners etc or give me some ideas how this is tensioned so we can get her back on the road.
any help appreciated
thanks
