I have a 1.6 petrol Laguna. I'm having intermittent starting problems which are getting worse. Sometimes it's taking me 20 minutes to start yet the next time will start the first time I press the start button.
When I put my key card in, the dashboard lights up as normal and the card reader doesn't flash but I can press and press and nothing will happen.
The first time it happened green flag told me it was my starter motor. I bought a new one took it to be fixed and they said the original motor was fine so they didn't replace. They gave my relay a clean up and it seemed to help for a while.
It started again and the garage said it was the key. I sent this away last week and low and behold I had 4 days of instant starting.
Now today I've spent half an hour trying and nothing. Rang the guy who repaired the key he said as it's not flashing, it's not a reader problem and said its probably the immobiliser, well I've owned the car well over 12 months and didn't even know it had an immobiliser!!
Any help greatly appreciated
