check injection

i drive a renault megane 1.9 dci. this morning on my way to work while i was drivng the check injection light came on with the stop light. the car also had cut out. so i puled off the road. i had to wait like 2 minutes before the car started again. please can someione told me what this could be...maybe diesel filter?
