Clio sport 1.4 mk 2 ph1 dash board removal

Hi although I found alot of posts and videos I have a question I was browsing and a post what i can not seem to find again mentioned to disconnect battery (positive first) and to wait 15 mins or so before removing dashboard as a precaution for passenger airbag? Is this correct? I need to replace dash as got that horrible sticky dashboard that happens to clios !!! Driving me insane......



So just a quickie but a response will be a massive help. ty
