Hi fellow Renault fans,
I am new to both the forum and as a Renault owner, my girlfriend bought me a 1999 Renault Megane 2.0 cabriolet and I love it! I've always driven new company cars such as Mondeo and Vectra rep mobiles and my last car was a VW Golf 2.0 but I have to say I love my new (old) Megane. I've found the forum very informative and thanks to those members who have posted hints and tips. My Megan has 99500 on the clock and has a full service history main dealer stamps up to 72000, it has only covered about 500 miles in the last 3 years. There are two nagging issues, 1. The roof wont go up or down, I've followed the advice on the forum and relocated the locking pin in the cam and cleared all the alarms but the hydraulics don't have the muscle to pull / push the roof, the other issue is an intermittent Speedo, I've been told to change the speed sensor on the gearbox. Apart from that the cars great and hope to keep her for sometime to come tinkering and restoring as I go with help and advice from the forum members.
