I am working on my latest "project " Clio a 2002 1.2 16v.
I bought it as a non runner , wouldn't start i changed the crank sensor but no improvement !
It would tow start but ran rough and stalled.
I done a compression test and found cylinders 1,2,4 are at 75psi and 100 on cylinder 3.
Also it spits water out on cylinder 3 !!
I did wonder if the headgasket had gone before i did the compression test as i noticed not much coolant in the tank and whats there was dirty looking water ! I think the test confirms it !
Luckily i have a spare lower mileage engine needing a new home so i know what i am doing this weekend , probably !
