Megane 225 to Megane R26

I love the French hothatches. i have a 225 at present but i am thinking of getting a R26.

The handling is supposed to be better but basically it's the same vehicle.

I have £2000 to spend and potentially on top of the PX and i am thinking of getting one or i can stick the £2000 or maybe part of it on my 225.

Has anyone gone from the older 225 to the R26 and was it worth it? In general what did you find?
