Renault Scenic RX4 computer rest

Hi, I have reset the onboard computer for my Scenic RX4, 2.0 Ltr petrol by doing the following;



1. Hold in the computer button

2. Turn on ignition

3. Release button

4. Press the zeroing button on dash.



I then take the car on a short drive and it appears to have corrected the problem.

However, I cannot get a read out for 'Fuel used', just reads 0.0 and no display for estimated mileage before refuel, just reads dashes, i.e. _ _ _ _ .



After travelling for about 150 miles everything, apart from the main mileage, reverts back to flashing dashes on all read outs.



Is there another way of resetting. I have thought about disconnect the battery and then reconnecting.

Is there a fuse for the computer and where is it located as this would be easier than having to re-enter the radio code after disconnecting the battery.
