2005 Espace- Interference or non-interference engine ?

My 2005 Espace,1998cc 16 valve petrol, engine number C 000711 broke it's cam belt (less than 15000 miles!) I have read that some engines are 'interference' IE long valves likely to damage pistons, while others are non-interference with short valves and no to little damage. There were no drastic noises when it broke at 50 ish mph. I can't do much myself (disabled). Anyone know for sure what my chances are? It is going to cost a packet whatever, so it would be good to know if I should just scrap it which would be a shame as other recent work has cost me loads. Clanner
