I have recently bought a Clio MkII 2004.
I think it had been standing for some time before I got it and the windscreen washer motor wouldn't work. To replace it I had to strip down the part of the front end of the car including taking the windscreen wiper arms off.
I have rebuilt the front end completely but one of the two arms connecting the windscreen wiper blade on the drivers side to the motor rubs against the windscreen glass when the wipers are working. (not the blade but the arm)
I have had a look and there is only one position the arms can go back in so I am sure that they have been replaced correctly.
The only thing I can think is that there should be a spacer so that when the wiper arm is put onto the bevel it stands a little higher. I know there was not one when I took the arm off but as it is a 10 years old car I do not know whether the previous owner missed it out.
So my questions are
Is there a spacer/washer when putting the arm onto the motor bevel
