replace 4 speed auto with a semi auto

Morning all, i did look using the search but didn't find anything, so my apologize if this has been covered before.

i have a 2002 1.6 16v scenic auto. and though i have not displeased with the autobox, i am also not happy with it. so does anyone know if a newer semi auto box will bolt onto the engine and will the wiring be an issue i,e; is the gearbox wiring self contained or am i looking at alot of problems regarding the engine ecu?
