scratched my head for a while to find this, found a youtube video. air filter is behind battery but you don't need to remove battery. remove plastic leaf guard on passenger side below wipers, remove metal plate in firewall underneath this and behind battery, remove top from air filter cover, remove old completely choked filter and half a deciduous oak forest full of leaves, replace with new filter and put it all back on.:d
