My in-dash 6-cd changer (Carbasse Auditorium) has started to stop accepting discs, and I'm looking for replacement options.
Ideally, I'd like some kind of cd emulator that I could plug in in place of the changer, that would give me SD storage (or similar) and still work with the steering wheel controls and dash display.
Failing that, if I got a replacement unit off ebay would it need a code to pair with the radio? Some are offered with a code, some not.
I've tried adding the aux-in connection hack before, but didn't find the quality very good - the volume needed to be up quite high to hear anything.
Any suggestions?
