Hi, my Laguna is failing to start and when it does start it goes a few miles and cuts out. I cleaned out the EGR but the problem carried on. A garage has told me the ECU needs replacing/reconditioning and wants to charge me a fortune. I'd like to remove it myself and send it to be reconditioned and then re-install it.
1) Can anyone recommend a competent ECU restoration company that's good value?
2) I think the ECU is under the battery but am not sure. I'm a Haynes manual 2 spanner job sort of guy maybe pushing into 3 spanners if I'm on form. Is this likely to be beyond me?
3) How do I remove/refit it?
