Recently another car reversed into my parked car. Since then the washers don’t retract. The insurance company advised this was ‘wear and tear’ rather than crash damage because the stalks are not fitted to the bumper. Does anyone know what makes them retract? Is it suction from the pump reversing? I’m wondering if a pipe or seal could have been damaged.
