Locked out - Laguna 1 estate doors won't open

Morning all.

I cannot open the doors or tailgate on my 2000 Laguna I estate - there is no response to either of the remote keys, and the key just turns in the barrel when you try to operate it physically.

I managed to open the bonnet from underneath and the battery itself is fine.

The AA tried to open the door by wedging the door open and using some steel to pull up the rear door button, but that wasn't successful either.

Any suggestions on a postcard please.
