problem starting

hi,i have an 04 renault trafic cdi 1.9,the problem i have is that it is not starting everytime,it may start some mornings but other times it turns over but seems to have no fuel coming through,even if i use the manual fuel pump it doesnt seem to pump fuel through thanks jimmo
