05,starting problem 1.6v grand

Hi all ,new to this.if its wrong I apologise.i have a 1.6 16v 05 grand scenic, ,had no probs so far apart from its playing up over the last few weeks it starts great then ill go back to it few hrs later,and it just clicks, ill pull the key card out 7 or 8 times, trying to start and then it decides to start,2 or 3 days later it will do it again,just a click, no turning over, any help would be greatfull...thanks dave.
