About 6 months ago and 20K miles I had my car remapped. Its something I've always done with diesels, I'm not a speed merchant they just run so much better afterwards.
One question I get asked, aside from the power difference and yes it is noticeable, is economy.
Well on a daily return journey of 100 miles with a 70/30 split motorway / a roads and an average speed of 65 mph I achieve an average mpg of 44.
If I average 70-75 mph it drops slightly to 41 mpg.
Hence in my opinion the conversion was worth the money.
